NELA-NJ PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
On September 1, 2024, I had the tremendous honor of being installed as President of the National Employment Lawyers Association–New Jersey, alongside an exceptional team of officers and executive board members. Serving this remarkable organization and its dedicated membership has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional career.
As I prepare to begin my second term as President on September 1, 2026, I am deeply honored and sincerely grateful for the confidence our members have once again placed in me. I am humbled by the opportunity to continue serving NELA-NJ and remain fully committed to working tirelessly on behalf of our organization, our members, and the clients and communities we collectively serve.
NELA-NJ, the New Jersey affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association, is the leading organization dedicated to advancing the rights of employees and supporting the attorneys who advocate on their behalf. Through education, legislative advocacy, professional collaboration, and public service, we work to strengthen the practice of plaintiffs' employment law and promote justice in workplaces throughout New Jersey.
Our mission is to empower attorneys who fight for workers' rights through outstanding legal education, meaningful professional development, advocacy for a fair and impartial judiciary, and support for laws and policies that protect employees and promote equal opportunity. Together, we aspire to create workplaces where every individual is treated with dignity and respect, diversity and inclusion are embraced, and fairness is more than an ideal, it is the standard.
During my first term, we worked together to expand member benefits, strengthen our educational programming, create new opportunities for collaboration, and continue building an organization that serves as the premier resource for plaintiffs' employment lawyers across New Jersey. None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the extraordinary dedication of our Officers, Board of Directors, committee leaders, volunteers, and engaged membership.
We will build upon the strong foundation we have created by expanding educational opportunities, enhancing member engagement, advocating for workplace justice, cultivating the next generation of employment lawyers, and ensuring that NELA-NJ remains the preeminent voice for employee advocacy in our state.
Our greatest strength is our membership. Through the ideas, talents, and commitment of our members, we will continue to elevate the practice of employment law, strengthen our professional community, and advance the administration of justice for New Jersey workers.
