Welcome to the
NELA/NJ Web Site. NELA/NJ
is a terrific organization of dedicated lawyers who strive
tirelessly to support the rights of employees in this
State. As President of this organization, I am
committed to ensuring that this organization continues
its vital work on behalf of employees.
In particular, it
is my goal to oversee four important areas: First,
NELA/NJ is working to effect legislative changes that
will further protect employee rights. Whether strengthening
the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the Conscientious
Employee Protection Act, or the New Jersey Family Leave
Act, NELA/NJ is serious about its legislative agenda.
Second, NELA/NJ will continue and expand its role
in supplying amicus support on important issues pending
before the New Jersey Appellate Division and the New Jersey
Supreme Court. Third, NELA/NJ plans to host educational
opportunities, through case evaluation sessions and statewide
substantive law seminars, for its members as wells as
members of the legal community at large. It is
so important that all lawyers and judges who handle employment
law matters understand the issues and nuances in this
ever-evolving area. Finally, NELA/NJ is committed
to expanding its membership so that every lawyer whose
practice involves a substantial focus on employee rights
can benefit from the enormous resources inherent in this
organization.
For those lawyers who practice in this area and aren't yet members of NELA/NJ, you will find that by participating in this organization you will be much better able to serve your clients.
To join NELA/NJ click here. If you have a question about an area of law, a case, a legal issue, an expert witness, a jury charge, or any other area of your employment law practice, as a member you can go onto our
List Serve and have the minds and insights of dozens of other fellow lawyers at your instant
disposal.
If you are an employee in need of legal advice, you can contact our
members who have offices throughout the
State. You can also use this Web site to link to sources of information about your rights.
The coming year is going to provide us with a number of challenges as we continue to work to protect the rights of employees. We will need the support, encouragement, and wisdom of each other to enable us to go forward. It is for those purposes that NELA/NJ exists.

Zuckerman, Esq.
